AU Arts Festival

Venue: Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra
The first AU Arts Festival in honor of His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, 1 – 3 June 2018. With the theme “Raising Funds in support of Kufuor Center for Leadership and Governance,” the festival showcased the works of 40 top Ghanaian artists and also featured a number of renowned musical and movies celebrities. Second Lady Samira Bawumia who was the special guest lauded former President Kufuor for his achievements and continuing work to improve the lives of Ghanaians. Madam Catherine Afeku, the minister for Tourism and Creative Arts who opened the festival, equally extolled the virtues of the former president whose vision for humanity continues through the work of the John A. Kufuor Foundation. Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, first deputy Speaker of Parliament launched the auction of a select number of the arts work to benefit the John A Kufuor Foundation Endowment Fund.
