History

Founded in 2010 by H.E John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Republic of Ghana (2001-2009), the John A. Kufuor Foundation (JAKF) is registered under Ghana’s Companies Codes, 1963 (Act 179) and recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization with registration No. DSW/6163 and address for these purposes at 9 Sixth Circular Road, P.O. Box CT-5171, Cantonments, Accra, Ghana.

The Foundation is an independent and nonprofit institution dedicated to the promotion and sustainability of Ghana and Africa’s development. It is inspired by the founder’s passion for practical and sustainable development and aims at advancing effective leadership, good governance and socioeconomic development.

In furtherance of its objectives, JAKF seeks collaboration and strategic partnerships with public and private institutions, civil society organizations, as well as international development partners in program initiation and implementation.
